"IL FILO DI PAGLIA": Nothing comes from Diamonds, Flowers are born from manure

Agriturismo Il Filo di Paglia is located in Pavareto, a small and remote village of the High Vara Valley (Alta Val di Vara), surrounded only by woods and silence.

Despite being just 20 minutes far from the Carrodano motorway exit, you immediately realize to be in an enchanted and unspoiled valley.

And it is here, in the old land of their grandparents, that the Azaghi family has decided to start their own agritourism business! 

The search for a more intimate contact with nature and the desire to grow their own food led them to sell their renowned fish restaurant in front of Portofino and to start their life here again.

"The idea was to live off the food and energy that we were able to produce, respecting the environment that welcomed us. And, at the same time, allowing our customers to enjoy the fruit of our work, enjoying an authentic holiday in a fantastic region of Italy"

The organic farm boasts of five thousand square meters of land divided between vegetable garden, orchard, pasture for cows and flowers for bees. 

The two eco-sustainable "Filo di Paglia" residences stand on the top of the estate, with their own garden and relaxation areas. 

The reared cows are of the Cabannina breed (Slow Food Presidium), typical of the Ligurian Apennines. The Cabannina is a quality dairy and meat cow, not very productive, but rustic and resistant (as Ligurian people), which adapts very well to the poor and wooded Ligurian territory. 

They live in their natural habitat, free to graze all day long.

HOW TO GET TO US

Our address is Via San Nicolò 11 - 19012 - Pavareto (SP).

-Exit the motorway A12 (Genova-Livorno) in Carrodano and continue on the road, following indications for "VARESE LIGURE" (without arriving there).

-When you see the indication for "CARRO", turn left and continue on that road.

-Few hundreds of metres after Carro you will see on the left the indication for "PAVARETO": take that small road and do the last 2,2 km.

-The agritourism is the last house, located under the road: you will see the gate.

- Meditate walking in the wood: The house is located at the beginning of a path that develops all inside the wood.

- Enjoy a regenerating massage: In the wellness room you can receive a truly restorative massage.

Liguria is all beautiful. This region has the sea, the rivers, the hills, the valleys, the mountains.

There are endless things to see. The closest to us:

-the old village of Varese Ligure;

-the paths of Highway of Ligurian Mountains;

-Lerici and Portovenere;

-Cinque Terre (better by boat);

-beaches of Framura and Bonassola;

-beaches of Sestri Levante;

-Zoagli;

-Portofino;

-Camogli.
